when u take the black plastic grille of the car, it leaves the holes where the grille attaches to the bumper. soo he wants to fill those in, it looks a lil tacky if u dont, and much nicer when smooth. im goin to buy a new bumper soon do to spider cracks so ill have it done then

any other ideas...I've heard bondo may not be the best option as something more flexible might be needed. Anyone have feedback on how well the bondo worked/held up? I was thinking something along the lines of some silicone product??

You need to take it to a body shop to have it done correctly. They will use body filler to fill in the holes then sand, primer, and paint. They will probably have to repaint the front fascia so it will cost $500-$600.

What you need is plastic filler. 3M makes a product called Plastic Filler (5895) which is a 2-part mix, one to one. It looks like two tubes of toothpaste and costs around $30 for the kit. Be sure to mix it well, then fill the holes and sand with a 220 or 320 grit paper. I'd suggest using a sanding block made of sponge, Home Depot sells them for about $3. Once you've sanded them to the contours of the bumper, you can primer and paint. Once dried, this filler has the characteristics of, say.... a pencil eraser. Similar to a piece of rubber, so it's flexible. Never use conventional "Bondo" on a urethane or SMC panel. Hope this helps. Good luck.

It'll hold up just fine. If you've never done it before it may take a few tries before you get it completely smooth.... but yes, this plastic filler is perfect for what you're doing. Good luck!
