what does this thing do? ok well i am wanting to put a shifter boot on my automatic and i found this also while reading through some threads, http://secure-order-server.net/caull...d=496772_22822
does this make it so you dont have to push down to shift just apply the brake and pull the shifter instead of pushing a button, or does it just let you put manual shifter ***** on?? and who has done this and is it worth it, bc my button sticks sometimes and really want a cool looking **** anyways.

the shift button is spring loaded. there is a metal clip to hold the shift **** to the stick. this looks like it mounts to the stick holding down the shiftlock so you dont have to push the button. it also lets you use a manual shift **** on an auto.(which is why you would need to bypass the shiftlock)
