Satellite Radio pics
Satellite Radio pics My parents got me Sirius satellite radio for Christmas and we don't know where the best spot to mount it. I was just wondering where some of you guys with them have them mounted and where you put the antenna thing(not sure what to call it
)So if ya could post up a few pics it would be great
)So if ya could post up a few pics it would be great I have my antenna on the dashboard, all the way at the front where it's closest to the windshield. Works fairly good so far, but I do have some outages when I drive down the road to my house...dunno what it is...big powerlines maybe?
If it acts up anymore, I'll have them reposition it on the roof or back glass where a lot of people have it.
My head unit was Sirius capable, so I don't need to mount one of those external thingies.

I had XM in my other f body, they mounted my antenna on top of my head unit in the dash and it had great reception. My display was in front of my cubby hole (A4). The metal from the head unit really helped amplify the signal too
yes my g\f bought me the roady2 and i want to see where all mounted it and the antenna..its magnettic and i cant figure this thang out..and will it work with the factory hu? sorry to high jack but i want some pics too.. thanx

I just installed a Starmate Replay sirius unit the other day. I mounted the antenna on top of my rearview mirror and the receiver is right above the factory cd player. It's held with velcro on the small area right below the AC vents. I might be able to get some pics later if i can find a digi camera around.

Verdad Gallardo Double sided tape for the antenna and the reciever(I put the reciever on the included flexible mount, then taped it to the plate that the TCS switch is on)
It wasn't required, but I used an FM modulator installed inline with the antenna (kills the antenna when using the XM) it sounds better IMO than using the built in modulater

ahh dan gotta new toy. nice. i saw someone mounted there antenna right under the carpet at the end of the hatch where the latch is. dunno how it worked, but it was totally out of sight. check the stereo section if search is workin again.
