How should I paint this car?

This is my dad's 66 Chevelle SS396 that has a Pontiac 402 in it because the 396 blew up on a pass down the track!!!

He has been asking me what kind of paint job he should do for it (he used to paint cars for a living so we are doing this ourselves). The only idea we have come up with is Onyx Black with Red SS stripes, but he wants something different and that would stick out better than the soar thumb that it is right now! Please help me with some ideas guys!

Well I would follow that white line right above the door handle and below with some sort of light gray / silver and a black top /hood (above the silver) maybe some kind of silver stripes thrown into that. I'd love to photochop something but I have no talent with photoshop at all

Id say just get some tape and start brainstorming

How about black with true fire flames coming out of the scoop back to the "S" in graphics
