Cool mod.

My CHMSL LED conversion uses just 6 LEDs.

CHMSL = Center High Mount Stop Lamp
Its the "third brake light".

HA! Your screen name says it all for your brake light!!! EXTREME! Dude, good job on it! Yeah you need some taillights now! If I could find a cheap enough set to play with I'd done it already, but it's hard to fork over $200+ for some used taillights that you'll just hack up!

What can I say.. If you are going to do it... You might as well do it right the first time or go down in flames trying!!

I have my eye on a set, but I am just waiting on pics right now..

Any way to make it less bright? I might want to try it but it will be my 1st time dealing with LEDs

Yea. If you want when you build it use less L.E.D's. Or if you already have it built like I do, you can put a regulation circuit in place to reduce the peak voltage so that it will not reach peak Voltage (Brightness), yet still be visible while the car is off.
