A Deer Hit My Car :(

When we moved to Wyoming, thought our insurance rates would go down......Wrong!Was told there are 2 kinds of drivers here... those who HAVE hit deer and those who WILL hit deer. Rates stayed the same as in Wa state.
Insurance has always considered a deer as an act of God... therefor not hurting me for it.
This is off of the subject, but iv heard that insurance makes the rates go up on people who are more prone to accidents. I dont think its neccessarily the person all of the time that is more prone... but the car. My camaro has been through just about everything imaginable and the TA had its 1st instance w/ the body shop just now and iv had it 3.5 years.

Yeah but driving habits are just that, habits. Hence one reason why rates go up for people who're habitually "accident prone".
I hit a deer last year in my truck. I saw one on the other side of the road and slowed down a bit and made sure she wasnt goin to run into the road...what I forgot to look for was Psycho Doe who decided to run out of the tree line right in front of the truck. Busted the grille, AC condenser, dislodged both headlights and broke my bug shield. $1500 worth of damage. You'd be suprised how many deer really do either run in front of, or into cars vs them just 'standing' in the middle of the road and getting hit.
I try to do my best to take them out aswell. Ive got rights to hunt on 3-4 properties on the edge of the county for that simple reason (owners want them GONE, cuz they're sick of hittin 'em).

I gave up hunting b/c i killed more w/ a car than i did w/ a gun... but after this, it makes me want to get in the woods and kill just to kill. hell, i may even park my camaro in the woods for hopes it'll lure one to it.
