Default A Deer Hit My Car :(

Monday night... I was on a major 4 lane road just inside the city and I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I looked up and I saw eyes, the rack, everything... it was WAY too late. WAM! just like that... the mirror was completely gone, the windshield is busted, i'll have to have a new window for the driver side door, and the fender has a softball size hole in it. I hate these damn animals. Thats the 4th one iv come in contact w/ (3 in my camaro, 1 now in the TA).

Thats it... i just needed to vent somemore and knew you people would understand my misery.

sad thing is i had 15% tint all around and now its looking like that is gonna have to be taken off due to the fact i'll have to get a new inspection sticker and they wont inspect it if the tint is illegal (new law).

i had one psycho buck ram the side of my car once too
but i was only going ~10mph, so no real damage besides a busted mirror
they probably hit more cars than cars hit them

Sorry to hear it! I feel your paint, I had a deer hit me in my 93. Literally ran into the side of the car. Cracked the door and that was it, at least.

See, my whole delima is this... They are going to have to replace the windshield (inspection sticker that was issued before the new tint law went into effect) and the driver side window (which is home to some 15% now illegal tint). I dont know if i should go ahead and get the window retinted 15% and find some border-line homeless inspection sticker guy to just give me a sticker or if i should just say screw it and rip it all off, putting on 35% which is legal. I think 35% on solid black interrior w/ a white car still would look pretty dark... but i sure do like my 15%.

Any thoughts?

I've heard of people getting new windshields, just reusing the inspection stick though it usually looks like crap. But might be worth it to not worry about the tint? Almost seems since you had it before that you should be able to have dark windows after the deer.

Worst case, get a new stick and tint it 5% all the way around. Just keep an eye out for the po-po! That's what I do anyways, so far 2 years running with no problems *knock on wood*
