Just wondering if anyone has painted it to match their car , i have seen the SS ones painted but no bowtie one yet. While switching from my SLP grill to my stull to make the SS look like a ZL1 I realized I like it a lot with no grill at all but at the same time the foam in the bumper is to visible and ugly. Thus my reason for wondering about painting the SLP grill red and slapping it back on.

why not paint the foam black. or buy some mesh guard and place it in there

The Bowtie and SS grills are exactly the same. The only difference is the emblem on it.

I painted the bowtie grille on my last camaro and thought it looked great. I know your car is red but hopefully this will give you an idea:

I ripped my foam out. My grill is not body color, but I did repaint it black and the bowtie silver.
I also had my last Z28's grill body color painted at a shop when the SS hood was painted. Now that was nice!
