I bought mine for like 12 bucks off Ebay, they were easy to install, and good quality. They are even surviving winter looking brand new .

I got some of the sticky vinyl ones off ebay and they are working just fine. I got the chrome finish and it definitely looks good on the back of my BGM T/A.

I have black reflective vinyl ones on my car now. For some reason after a few years they are starting to bubble up. So Ill be taking them off in favor of these mirror ones I think.

Because they are plastic and the material is inexpensive relative to stainless steel. Plus, stainless steel requires handwork to finish to a polished finish. More time and money goes into stainless inserts and that is why they cost more. I am not attempting to make a sales ploy here, but I am just stating the way it is. Have you ever seen a faded headlight lens turning yellow? Give these enough time and they will do the exact same thing. "Acrylic" is a fancy word for "plastic". These have chrome vinyl on the backside of transparent plastic. I have had the vinyl fill-ins. I have had the bubble type vinyl fill-ins. I have had the plastic fill-ins. I regretted every purchase given enough time for them to fail. I bucked up and paid MBA about $95 for my Camaro stainless inserts a few years back - best purchase out of the bunch. You just can not beat the quality of stainless steel - period.
