I can't believe this thread is still alive...let alone started .

SS on a Z is simply posing. Nothing more, nothing less. No respect in the clone world for me. It's like putting a Cobra snake emblem on a Mustang, a WS6 badge on a Bird or a Z06 badge on a Vette. It shouldn't be a matter of 'what ever makes you happy' like some of these 'soft' replies suggest...what a bunch of horse ****! It's not like you've borrowed a cosmetic feature because 'you like it' (i.e., wheels, spoiler, etc), you've relabeled the damn thing something it isn't. What's so hard to understand about that? You want an SS...buy one. Otherwise, drive the Z with a little more pride

I think its wrong personally...you don't have that car...so don't put those badges on it. I'm just curious if all of the people who think its okay...would you think its okay for a integra to put type R badges on it if it isn't a type r?

personally I agree with what someone else on here said...Go ahead and put all the other mods on(hood rims spoiler) then get some vintage Z28 emblems and be done. Boy, with the 1st gen crowd, having a Z28 is top of the line, people who have 4th gen Z28's want something else...grass is always greener I guess.
And, ^^, I really dont care if someone with an integra calls it a yota...I generaly wouldnt notice anyways.

Don't get me wrong, SS Camaro = amazing, but the point im trying to make is to be proud you own a Z.

okay my 2 cents

I agree with sound body else on here. I got a baseline TA nothing special, flat hood and all, besides the tail pipes coming out the bck and the rims on the car it looks stock. I do love the look you get when a somebody thinks their WS6 is better then your plain old TA and then blowing their doors off.

not so say that I will always have the flat hood, infact I'm buying a WS9 outlaw iin a couple days, but I would never put WS6 badges on it nor WS7 or WS9 cause it's not.. IT IS A TRANS AM NOTHING MORE

If I had a Z, I'd rather put some old school Z/28 badges on it, but thats just me. I still remember when the Z28 image even overshadowed an SS 396 even though the Z had a 350.

Originally Z/28's w/the SS/RS package still wore the Z/28 badge not the others.

Thats my opinion do as you will.

I have no emblems on my Z28,
I'm thinking of getting my next license plate to read

ITS SLO or
NOT FST

But, its your ride do what you want,
But, pretty lame to stick an SS on a V6, but thats just my $00.02
The dealer I bought my Z28 from said A guy brought in a v6 with Z28 markings on it, and they gave him the trade in value of a Z28, ,, they were pissed when they found out it was only a V6.

Don't be a poser. And, for all those that say it doesn't matter, if that's true, then why would you feel the need to change the badges in the first place?

Well, it ain't 1969 anymore but, if you own a Z28 that you've put SS parts on and this idea appeals to you… then, by all means, slap an SS badge right next to your Z28 badge and make your own!

It's still a Z28, no matter how much SS **** you put on it. Nuff said.

Argument doesn't imply a need for approval, we're only discussing an issue while bored at work. I certainly don't need anyones approval to do anything to my WS6.

Peace.

All T/As are WS9s, at least the last time I checked... WS9=Trans Am Coupe with Formula Option, which just means its a V8.

Can't we do the LESS touchy subjects like...ohhhhh I dunno..

ABORTION
RACISM
POLITICS
WAR.....

You know, the subjects that are less likely to get a debate going...

I say be proud of what you have...I love my SS and I also loved my old 93' Z28.Only thing I wasn't too happy about with my Z28 was that it was an A4...

Hey,that reminds me....What are your opinions???

Whats better,auto or manual????

Okay true, but you understand what I'm trying to get accross...

Be proud of what you got don't try to make it into something that it is not

that's my opinion, am I gonna give a guy crap for putting SS badges on a Z, or WS6 badges on a T/A ..... NO to each his/her own

Well if I know the person really good I might get them a little crap just playing around

cant believe this is still going on... Look I am sure... if they made FACTORY Z28 badges all nice and purdy like they did the SS's with the nice little trim work on the outside... no one would care... but they ddint... they come in a solid ugly color... I had the SS **** on my Z28... I put them on there... and guess what... when I popped my hood, ON!!! my throttle body and ON MY AIR BOX! BAM!!!!!!!!! both Z28 badges.... never once did I try to front it... but people and me like the look of the SS badges... if he isnt saying it is one... then it doesnt matter... Slap them on there bro!!! go for it...
