94U Vette 50th Ann. red. Hey guys. Now that I got my hood installed I am looking to paint it. I figured if I am going to paint the hood I would have to fade the whole front end anyhow. Also the rest of the car is not even close to perfect beings it is 6 years old now. I was thinking. I saw a 50th corvette in that Anniversary Red Metallic. I like the color alot more. It id deeper and redder if that is a word. At the same time I think it is close enough to not have to paint under the hood and still look factory? Does anyone know if that paint is a two step process like the millenium yellow? Here is a pic. What do you all think?

I don't know for sure, but it would be at least a 2 step process most likely more. But It doesn't seem to look like anything real unusual. Just a metallic and maybe some translucent red and clear.
I do like that color better than the one on your bird right now at least from the pics in your previous post. I think its enough different to paint the door jams, but you could probably get away without doing the engine compartment fender tops at all. Unless it was going to be lots of car shows.
