HVAC LED modding pics
Has anyone done this on a firebird/ta ? I dont want to peel my ***** apart and then be stuck with ugly white/yellowish ones. although I'm not sure why the firebirds and camaros would have different *****.... it seems that the white/yellowish ***** were all on LT1 cars...
I just went to a junkyard to get some interior pieces I needed that were broken when my car got broken into, and it was an 98+ Firebird and the ***** had that solid color to them! I have not been able to find a damn 97+ Camaro to snag the HVAC out of! I've been to at least 20 junkyards around central florida and the only one I found wasn't being parted out because it had a rebuild title!

might look better if you just cut a slot of the rubber off the end of the know so that a narrow line of color shows through...or you could paint the ***** the color of your choice after you take the rubber off and use any kind of design you like as a template to let the light show through in some kind of cool desing.

the #74 LEDs are a direct replacement - they are the 7th one down on the list. You can choose the color. Getting the factory bulb out is a trick, though. I shattered both bulb in the holders, and it was fun fishing the remains out.

To get the stock bulbs out, I used the blue shop towels you can buy at discount, and a pair of needle nose plyers! Simply place one sheet of the shop towel of the bulb, grasp the bulb lightly with the plyers and gently pull out! I didn't shatter any bulbs!
