"Fading Bird" and other mods. Paint Pics?
Someone mentioned this in the cheap/free mods section, and my girlfriends '94 definetly has a case of this. How did you guys remove it? Just buff it off? And specific compounds used? Also curious on how to remove the Bird on the front bumper - it looks like its molded into the bumper, it's not? Ill have to take a closer look. Just picked up a WS6 hood for her as well and am thinking of shaving the body molding before I repaint the car. It's a black car and I'd rather not reshoot all the jambs and in the hatch.. PITA and more work then Id like to do for free.
But, I'm not opposed to spicing it up a little with some other details. Ive noticed on a lot of the 98+ WS6's guys put the side stripes on the nostrils, anything like that for a LT1 WS6? Possible different paint schemes?

the bird is on a plastic piece so i just wet sanded with 1000 then 2000 grit sandpaper to remove my old bird and then used plastic polish and my dremel to buff it out.
Heres what my panel looks like now.

afterthoughtsauto.com use to have the CETA style center piece. If you can find it on their site you can just replace the entire piece. If not then just wetsand it like he said and then http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/decals-emblems.html
