My buddy had a V6 Hugger Orange camaro M5. 2000 I think. He put some 17 inch chrome wheels and purple ghost flames. It was a sexy car. The guy he bought it from said there was only 3 naturally hugger orange camaros in Texas. A 6 a z28 and an SS. We though we saw the SS one day but we could find him when we went back. That thing ran damn good too. Had some GTP internals and a supercharger. It was fun to whoop on some unsuspecting Zs and then have to pop the hood to show em. But then it started crapping out so he sold it. Haha we still miss it.

I've seen one gold and it was a V6, but appeared to have a body kit, possibly a 98 RS? I think they still made the RS kit then...

I wonder how they make those charts......because when I was on the phone with GM about a technical service bulletin, they told me my car was made in 98, even though it was sold as a 99 car. I wonder if my pewter car is 1/63, if so thats pretty rare

Bright Purple Metallic is the rarest color of the LS1 F-bodies. It's one of the only colors that was only available for one model year of the LS1 cars.

The '99 model year started in mid '98.... it's the same way for all years. My Formula is a '98 and it was built in September of '97.

as far as pure production, the Bright Purple should be the rarest for firebirds. it was only made for a few months of production. dropped due to consistency issues, and Dr. Evyl has 2 of them

Gold is the rarest of the total run of SS colors (looking at 98-02) with the expection of the 1 Teal Vert made in 98.

Yes, that's a factory color.... kind of an oddball one you didn't see a lot. Along the same lines as the Green-Grey Mica color from the '93 model year.
