interior appearance for TA
Hey everyone. Ive been thinking i want to spice up the interior of my TA also. Currently it has the graphite leather and stuff. It has some white face gauges and some CF trim pieces. This was the way the interior was when i bought it. Also my headrest covers are off and shipped out being embroidered. My TA is black with red accents so i would like to maybe add some red to the interior as well. heres what its like currently.
And heres what the headrests will look like.
I was thinking of maybe chaning the center sections of my seats to a red. Red inserts on the graphite seats...... Would look good or a no no? If i did this i would also add it to the inserts on the door panels.
Heres an example of black with grey inserts, id be graphite with red inserts.
Any other ideas/opinions to spice it up?

I dont like red on black cars at all. I think it looks hideous/tacky. I do, however, like the black with grey inserts you posted. I think that's all you need to do other than guages and maybe silver AC and headlight switch inlay thingy's. And of course, the emboirdered headrests.

Ok, well i have the red overlays on my car. I think they look really good as there not very flashy, pretty clean, yet noticeable. I am thinking the red seats may be a little much though. The headrests are being done right now..... however i cant think of anotehr seat color to go with my graphite that would match my car well. any thoughts? I was to be unique and different from everyone else, but not tacky or over the top.

Since you have an A4, you can install a leather shift boot.
Its only $20-$30.
Here is a pic of my leather shift boot on my auto:

I redyed the inside door panels, speak covers and some other pieces black. It's hard to tell in the picture, but it looks real nice where you can still see the grain and texture.

I also got another idea if iwant to go all out. Switch all my interior over to the black interior and get black carpet, and get the red seats from the LT1 year and black/red door panels from them also...... this may look sweet. Anyone know what interior pieces sell for.. like all of them. not including seats or electroncis or anythings, jsut to switch all my graphite plactic pieces and what not over to black?

No, the outsides i mtalking about. Like my emblems are red, the front bird is red, rear pontiac fill ins are red. So i was hoping to add some red to my interior as well.

Im not a fan of the CF, but the seats you posted with the grey inserts look . You should look into the humount.com unit. Cheap, but I really liked it and get compliments on it a lot.

I have the cloth interior and replaced the black cloth in the door panels with silver stock-like cloth that I got at a fabric store for $5 or $6 a yard. I bought 4 yards (in case of mistakes and to have left over) and only used about half.
Here is the link to the follow-up that I used:
http://www.lastofthebreed.com/Instal.../DoorPanel.htm
I didnt use contact cement for the whole thing, only the edges that get folded order so that I didn't get any glue bleeding through the cloth. I used some "carpet tape" also around the edge that doesnt get folded over to help hold things in place.
