Have toyed with the idea for 4 years now. Think I would look at the LED route first, white LEDs for my white car. With subframe connectors, not sure I would have a decent mounting location though.

I have red LEDS on my car. Rice? No. Why? I get compliments, it looks bad *** and that's the way I want it. You would be surprised...I think most of you have never seen LEDS on a Trans Am and the first thought that comes to your mind about exterior lighting on a Trans am is " Oh so gay and oh so rice." You should learn to be a little more open minded. In person, it really does look good.
I would never go with any color other than white and red. Why? Because any other color would look out of place (no offensive GotV-8). Oh yeah, I also have white LEDS on the interior and am putting a white led on the lisence plate light. Rice? I guess if you don't like it then it is, but that would make you part of the minorities.

I dunno man... maybe to some of the people on here, not to me though. I can see shades of gray.

I had blue neons on my last car, it was a black 98 Z28. I had lots of compliments and ppl with T/A's and other Camaros were asking how much it cost and where could they get em. If you like it go for it. The only reason I dont have them now is because I wanted to spend my money on other mods first.

check out my cardomain site, i use to have them on alot but now they are actin funny so dont use them as much but interior ones look awsome since i switched my gauge light and HVAC to red also to match. its your car do what you want and what makes you like the car more as long as you dont put some metal ricer wing or ugly *** body kit on it. oh and the people argueing about the 30th anniversary done in 99 thats impossible b/c the 35th was in 2002 so it would have to be 1997, just had to say that lol since everyone else is doin the same lol.

I go to Car Shows with my T/A EVERY weekend during the summer - not small local shows either, and there are usually NO import cars present. There are quite a few 60-70's musclecars + street rods that use the underbody neons. I have red LED underbody lighting kit on my T/A and red neon accent lighting under the hood that is hidden but illuminates the $1000's of doallars of chrome/polishing in the engine bay.

I have NEVER driven with them on, but use them after dark at the shows ONLY. Using them in this fashion does not make me think of 'rice' in any way.

I dare say that some of the people that posted here that state they are 'rice' don't have cars that come close to the looks or the power of my T/A WITH those 'ricey' underbody lights - so do what you want with your own car & don't give a FUG what others think - as long as you're happy - that's all that matters - after all, you're the one paying for the car - not everyone else...

So all you haters out there - feel free to drop over to Western PA and I'll be happy to give you a 'highway' lesson to show just how 'ricey' the lights are

BTW, N/A numbers in sig will be just about at 500rwhp with the new engine setup coming to completeion this spring

Either way, it still looks like ****.

The neons are on a personal opinion basis really. I wouldnt put them on my car but I think they look good depending on the application.

I thought it would be kinda cool if when you open your door a couple white Leds would light up the ground right under your door. You never see white underbody lighting and it would acually be practical.

Umm... so because your car is fast... you can put whatever you want on it and its automatically a good idea??

What's the point of having lights UNDER the car?!?! They serve no purpose! Maybe if you were looking for loose change on the road or something...
