mount harness, a quick question for you ? I really want to get racing seats and harnesses
I know most of you mount them on the roll cage but I was wondering if I could mount them on the hooks that I have in my hatch , behind the rear seats
any of you did it,
do you think they would be strong enough ?

I was in the same boat as you before I bought my cage. I have a pair of sparco harnesses and I wanted to connect them to the hoooks in the back. But the porblem was that they were not long enough. Mabye there are other harnesses that are longer. Make sure that you check the length before you buy the harnesses to make sure that they reach back there. good luck on your search.

actually.. thats not a great place.. not unless you like spinal compression if you are in an accident.. see this link to the Simpon website.. it shows you how to correctly mount your harnesses and what angle..

and for those of you who wont look at it.. the shoulder harness should be no more than a 10* angle from your shoulder.. horizontal is ideal.. the harness is to make you stop going forward.. if it is angled down.. it will pull your shoulders down and compress you as your body tries to come out of the seat..
