I would carefully use degreaser, an old tooth brush and a couple rags.

ahh thanks so its not gonna hurt it to put the degreaser on it
or should i take it apart and sandblast it

If you take it apart to sandblast it, you risk ruining the bearings, I'd just put some degreaser on a rag, and scrub it with a toothbrush

A rag and a toothbrush should be more than enough......the thing is not visible at all...
