I just got a good look at the 06 ZO6 today and I noticed something i wanted to ask everyone about. The rear tires are so big that the bottom half stock out further than the side panels. My question is would this be a problem with sticky tires that pick up small pebbles and throw them into the underbody of the car. If any of those pebbles where to be thrown forward instead of back, they would definately hit the paint.

When I switched to 315s I picked up many more rock chips etc. But its all in the name of grip.

So there is a really good possibility that with some sticky tires on the ZO6, it will shoot rocks up and chip the paint?

It stays under the car, I have sticky 315s and theres no damage at all to my paint

idk about on a Z06, but i have melted rubber on my 1/4 behind the tire all the time, and dirt and stuff. grip>chips

Yes, but it can be prevented by some clear bra type strips for protection.
