Yup it sure is! Optima makes a plastic cover that snaps over the entire top of the battery to cover the top posts. I attached the battery cover with industrial velcro.

I got mine at BatteriesAreUs for $12.95

awesome, thanks! I'll have to look into that! Think stores like autozone and murrays will have the cover piece?

You might try local stores that carry Optima's first - I know I didn't have any luck when I bought mine at either Advanced Auto or Autozone - that's why I went online. Funny - they did have the optional special holdown that I needed though...

Here's an updated pic with all my new bling - polished valve covers and water pump, hand polished ABS block and lines, powdercoated coil rails and radiator shroud :

i suggest the optima cover and polished battery cover over that for your battery, will clean out the red. Looking amazing so far.... and fast!

I have a battery overlay for it (blue with a silver Firebird) but it's not in the pic.

That's lookin' good! I went a step further with my VC's and had them chromed though - didn't want the hassle of having to polish them regularly to keep them looking nice. Did the same for all my other polished items such as the MBA parts. Once the aluminum starts to oxidize the only way is to repolish to bring back that shine.

Actually to have them chromed was very little additional - as the intital polishing step on any chrome job is the most costly/labor intensive.

Yeah Josh, your **** makes my eyes hurt from the shine. You are going to have to polish up that Incon kit to keep up with the rest of the engine. And if you want some help installing that bad boy, let me know.

U need sunglasses to view Josh's engine bay

But some additions coming next year......chromed coil pack frame, and polished VC's once the cam swap commences

with people like n2oblkz and firehawk 608 posting on this thread you just feel ashamed of posting your engine pics here!

anyway, mine is still under renovation...

this is when i first got it like 3 months ago

and after installing my polished elbow and moroso CAI

after a good cleaning job...

and my new radiator chrome cover (thx n2oblkz!) which i just installed yesterday

Problem with this dang place i live in is you cant leave the car for one day without the engine bay getting all dusty! what a headache! anyway, its still under work and hopefully will look better pretty soon!

Hey 4ced yours is looking good. Especially with what you started out with! The secret is just keep working on it and slow strides when you can. Keep it up.
