no such thing as the best wax. too many variables on what you are going for, color of the car, metallics, synthetics, carnuba etc...

I've really liked Mother's carnuba paste wax, can only, not the bottled stuff. The bottled stuff is nowhere as good.

I only use Zymol. It's in a baby blue bottle and it's got a good rep. Mainly used for european cars, but it's here in America. Some Autozones and Advanced Autos have it on the shelf.

Right when you're rubbing off the last bit on the panel- spray a fine mist of distilled water and buff again with the micro fibre towel. It "settles" the wax and looks soooo nice.

I vote Zymol!

I've always like NXT. It's easy to apply and remove and leaves a great shine! I've heard nothing but good things about Zaino, but havent tried it due to the price.

I have some zymol, but I always have streaks on my car. How do you get that deep shine with black paint. I have done claybar and wax but cant get the streaks out.

True depth, shine, and color come from proper prep work...claying and polishing as necessary to repair any defects in the finish.

Haha what's with everyone asking about the best wax lately? ZaneO is right. Prep work is everything. Wax is wax, no matter who makes it. If the proper preliminary labor is done, then you'll get a garuanteed showroom shine, no matter who's name is on the bottle. Personally, I use the Mother's product line, simply because it's not expensive, like Zaino, and it does a hell of a job. Here's my hood (after 62,000 mi.) after extensive labor of cleaning, buffing, sealing, waxing, polishing, etc... This just shows you, if you put in the time, your car can look like a showroom automobile, no matter who makes the wax.

Zaino products are what I use EXCLUSIVELY, but I had always used Meguiar's Professional product prior to Zaino! BUT Zaino is NOT a wax, but rather a polish. You can purchase other items such as the Z8 sealer which is a nice compliment to the Z2 (clear coats).

Only problem I have w/Zaino, is that it is a 2-3 step process for me in detailing the car. Very time consuming, but well-worth the time spent IMO

Again.......all personal preference!
