Default Finally have the quarter panel dents...

When I bought my car almost a year ago, car was perfect. No dents or dings anywhere. When I washed it the last time, checked things over, no dents or dings.

Today I looked at it, dings along the top of the quarter....should PDR take care of this? And who else is riding around with the infamous quarter dings?

Everybody prolly. I have about 4 on each side. Subframes cant help that, and my car is a color to where you really cant tell.

luckily for me I don't have them except for one fender. Had my car redone through the insurance company. Everything was painted except for the hatch, wing, camaro panel in rear, and passenger side quarter, which is where I have the dents. Hell I even got an o.e.m ss hood for free well almost except for the $500 deductible, but still can't beat it.

Mike, you wouldn't mind disclosing how much that cost you? Looks really good.

Not at all. Guy charged me $100 each for the two rear quarter panels. I met him at an Acura dealership on a Saturday morning and he had it done in about an hour and a half.

He set up a bunch of lights and mirrors, then drilled a small (0.5") hole inside each door jamb, then worked the dents out from the inside. He filled each hole with a rubber grommet, so if I ever need it done again, he will have easy access. I've attached a picture of the grommet, to give you and idea.

Im sporting a few of those fresh *** dents in my rear panels mostly on top part near the rear hatch. Ive learned to accept them, you cant really see them that much unless youre looking for them anyway.

Our cars are unibodies, so when the frame flexes, so does the body. At least that is what I understand causes them.

The dents are probably from other people. I doubt it is from the body flexing.

Depends on what dents they are, but generally its from flex. I dont see how anybody else could create shallow dips on both sides in my quarter panels without damaging anything else.
