Default Painted intake

I am about to put my ls6 intake on, and I was thinking about painting it. But Im not real sure what to do. So any pics of painted ls6 intake would be greatly appreciated.

Here's some pics of my painted LS6. First hand sanded all the casting lines off and generally smoothed the rough plastic surface. Then shot with Sebring Silver and a couple coats of clear. My new FAST90 Intake is out right now being chromed

Thanx! Car took a lot of $$ and a lot of time. Wins me a trophy at just about every show though

Engine bay is currently under construction so there's quite a few new additions/changes being made from when these pics where taken...

71 Sorry to hijack.

Jay,

Will the LS6 be for sell when you get the Fast? The ls6 would look great in my engine bay.

slvrhwk - As a matter of fact, it will be for sale, along with the Bauer Ported/Polished TB, the cam, lifters, ASP UD Pulley, Patriot Stg2 5.3L Heads, and probably the FRC's. The intake started out as a SLP LS6 manifold w/EGR provision. I have !EGR so there is a cap - in actuality there is also a carbon fiber cover that hides the fitting - just didn't have it on in those pics.

Probably won't all be FS till late Spring.

7.0PewterHawk - I took a tour of DEI when I was down South - all I can say is UNBELEIVABLE! They gave me the emblem when I was down there. Even though the car didn't come from there I thought it would be fitting to install it since I have been a lifetime Dale Earnhardt fan.

71camaro - I made it go fast at the same time (check the #'s in sig) It's a little easier for me as the kid's are grown and I can spend my 3rd childhood on just me (and the wife of course - but she loves the car almost as much as I do).

New combo will include a FAST90 intake ported by Tony Mamo from AFR, AFR 205's, NW90 TB, custom cam, Morel Lifters, ATI Superdamper, Volant CAI, SLP HD Rad, some very extensive EFILive tuning, and more dress up items. Combo should take me very close to the 500rwhp mark N/A.

To all others - thanks for the compliments!

I may have one by then but let me know when you get ready to sell it.

Thanks

Wow that engine bay clean. I guess there is no better clamp for
a radiator hose than GM. It looks like the only part that hasn't been replaced or chromed.

Thanx! Actually, that is an old pic - all the hoses in the car are red silicone - including all the rad hoses and the rad hose clamps are polished/chromed T-Bolts just like the ones used on the MAF plubing.

Rad hose kit was tough to get (came from England thru a company in CA), expensive ($140 for the (4) hose kit) and took 4 months to receive
