Default LED map and Dome lights, pics

I bought the white LED lights from LS1_SS. They are pretty nice. Leds will fade out just like the normal bulbs would. The dome light seems to be as bright as the orignal light was. But the led map lights are brighter.

I kinda wish I went with red to match my cluster lights, but I'm pretty happy with the white ones I used. It was super easy to install, just changed bulbs.

looks pretty good, . . i bet they look better at night, . . . i too was debating on whether or not to get white or red, . . . . i think white leds would look kinda hi-tech and cool, . but im afraid the red ones would look tacky, . . . . could someone please post pics of red ones too?? and white ones, . . im still debating, . .

I think I'm gonna put white ones up there on the map lights for mine and do the rest in red or possibly blue. Is there a write up floating around on how to hook all the lights up (if I put in lights for the floor, etc) to a single switch?

Question: I have the LED bulbs to put in my interior as well. I can't figure out how to pull the factory bulbs out of the map lights on the mirror. Any tips (pics would be nice)?

I also can't figure out how to get the back ones off (I don't have a dome light cuz it's a vert).

You help would be greatly appreciated.

Since you have an 02, you're rear view mirror should have the lights on the bottem like mine did. When you take the light cover off, you will see a little notch by the bulb in the mirror plastic. Take a small screwdriver and gently push it out.

Those are the Map lights eh.... they don't look anything like the bulbs I pulled out of my car when I was looking for LED bulbs... I wonder if they are the same ? The bulbs that came out of my car look alot more like the ones for the dome lights....

my 99 t/a is completely different from all that.

i've got 2 long bulbs 212-2 in the map light, and in the dome light 1 bulb that looks like a 212-2 bulb but it's missing metal caps on ends.
would the dome light still be a 212-2 bulb?

The 98-00 LS1's have the 212 festoon bulbs in the map and dome lights. The 01-02 models have the 212 for just the dome light and the other you see above for the map lights.

Cool, I will be getting some red led's soon! Do you make a set to light up the floorboards? That would be awesome?

Since there are no lights down there to begin with we don't have any direct replacement lights but we do have prewired LEDs which can hook up to any 12v source. We also carry carry custom mounts for the LEDs so you can drill a hole through the center console and mount them in there to shine on the floorboard.

I would say a minimum of 2 or 3 per side.

any reason why led lights still emit small amount of light when car is off?
will this end up killing battery?
