hey whats the difference in the color ebony and graphite interior??

hey all whats thew dieference in th e 2 above colors reason im asking im having trouble finding a ashtray lid for my console and i got 2 part numbers and dont know which color i got. i cant use the glove box sticker cause the dash is out of a newer model car dont know what year?? nay help i appreciate as ususal.....

Ebony = Black

Graphite = Dark Grey

Graphite was used in 1999 and older F-Cars.

Ebony was used in 2000 - 2002 F-Cars.

My car is an '02, but the interior is definately more of a dark gray than black.

looks like ebony to me. if all esle fails look at you window sticker when you bought your car.

ebony is more of a brown than the 98-99 graphite which is a medium-dark gray .

ebony is what people call black, but it is not, and when placed next to a graphite piece is looks browner.

hey now we're getting down to the detail, i was curious about the year ebony started on the cars my z is graphite yet the bird is ebony, but in the garage unless you have a light on it you cant really tell sometimes which is which. thanks guys
