Well, there are some weirdos out there who pay top dollar for this kind of stuff.

Take for example, the Fiero. A cheap kinda crappy little car that still has an enthusiastic following. One 'feature' was a manual rack (no power steering). Except on about 9 cars ever (1988 models). One surplus power steering column found its way to ebay, went for over $1500. While 75% of Fieros aren't even worth $1500. It was an electric power steering unit that required a special control module (not included). So it didn't even work. Then again, there are guys that have taken other vehicle power steering racks (even F-body) and installed them, got some custom hoses made, and they work fine. For less than $1500. Go figure.

Some people will pay big bucks for exclusive one-off parts. But $10k for a pair of headlamps? Ha.

Hahaha

Q: Do these headlights come with a free 1998 Firehawk? I would surely hope so for the insane price you are asking....
Mar-17-06
A: Well Mr. Smarty Pants - If you knew anything about the '98 Headlamps, you would know that we had over 3million dollars invested in the program. I'm not really interested in selling them, I use them to drive traffic to my store which it seems to be doing a pretty good job. Regards, David

They're ugly on that car anyway. Maybe if they had done it on a black car...
The neutral grayish colors around the white lens just look like crap on that red.

The yellow Firehawk text should not be yellow either, but whatever. It looks like a cartoon.

For that price, do what I did. Go to www.breathlessperformance.com
and get the conversion they make for $1000 bucks. It's ten times cheaper
and they look awsome!

Exactly, considering they won't even line up with the hood
I knew SLP parts were overpriced POS, but this is out of hand! LOL

My roomate is an engineer for hella (working on the escalade headlight for some time now). Total headlight geek. To summerize, he said they "crap" and worth no more than $100. He described them as "cut and paste" and described prototype headlights as very poor quality.

He also said that they look like denali projectors with standard early 4th gen highbeam (extremely cheap). Most likely not UV protected or vibration tested.

He didn't have many good things to say about this, as far as lighting performance goes. You're probobly not as into lighting performance as much as he is (or as much as I am now thanks to that idiot )
