So much for the Camaro... Early saturday morning, i was gonna drop some friends off to get there cars at Fairbanks and 290. So I'm driving along, driving a little fast, but nothing in excess. Then bam, I either hit a patch of oil on the ground, some water in the road or something. It's near some construction, so all I can guess is they were washing something and it ran into the road. 
I hit the curb, where a crosswalk would be so it's perpendicualar to the road, the wheel came out of my hand and ran into a wall. I also hit a street sign, which f'd up the grille. No one was hurt and no other cars were involved.
The insurance guy is probably coming to look at it tomorrow. I think it's totalled. My friends gf totalled her car and it look like the bumper just kinda fell off, so....
Needs replacing: 3 wheels and tires, front clip, door (or skin?), rocker panel, rear 1/4 panel, and the chassis is tweaked a little. edit: and the k-member is bent.

That sucks, I had a 96 bird that was totalled in Indy when somebody in a neon decided to run a red light. Did about the same damage as what it sounds like you got. Then the cop told me my car was still driveable!!!!!! idiots.... Good luck man sorry about the accident. Sounds like a lot of f-bodies are running into trouble lately.
Sorry to hear, I have been through something very similar in my previous ss vert. For your sake, I hope the car is totaled out, but glad to hear you didnt sustain any injuries nor did anyone else.

If ANYONE asks about selling ANYTHING off of the car, you will be completely ignored. I dont mean to be an ******* about it, but some (not all) people only see this as an opportunity for new parts for their own cars.

Sorry for the loss bro. Back when I turned 18 in 2001 I got my first z28. SOM, hardtop, M6, leather. Brigns tears to the eyes. But anyway, my car could have been repaired but the insurance agency decided not to. I was later told I could pay 10% of the original car value (which was like 1400) and keep the car. However, they told me this after all was said and done, ********. I got back in the game 3 months later.

I did this 3 years ago, and it wasn't totaled. Replaced whole front end (both fenders, hood, front clip, core support and various smaller stuff). Cost $7000 in repairs. Of course, sounds like yours could be worse.
