Default Custom M6 shifter boot

i am about to install a short stick on my stock hurst. i was wondering if there is some where i can buy a custom boot that is shorter so it does not bunch up so much on the bottom of the shifter. if there is not then i am going to see if one of the sew shop in town could make one, has any one had this done and if so can some one post some pics so i can get some ideas of exactly what i want thanks

I haven't looked much but I did find a nice woven carbon fiber boot on ebay. Real carbon fiber, not faked vinyl or something. I may change boots once I get my Hurst in. I'm constantly pushing the stock boot down with the way I grab the shifter now.

I have a short stick on my stock hurst. I made a new boot because I was sick of the tacky looking pleather boot. I made it to spec dimensions but didnt have any trouble with the boot bunching up. Now I just have to work on replacing my broken boot retaining ring

Thanks guys. actually I learned how to use a sewing machine with that boot. I made it to match my console I upholstered for obvious reasons shown in the wider shot below

A slotted plate will be a lesson in futility.

Ferrari shifters are well known to be the worst part of the car. Unless you have a huge track to give some leaway (sp?) you're going to see all the ugly crap that's normally covered by the boot, plus it's going to hamper shifting.

I thought of this a long time ago and let it go after I spent more than two minutes going over the details. Fugget about it!!!!!

very true, gated shifters are know to be hell. look on the bright side though, youll shift so slow that i doubt youll ever miss third again!
