Default Jacking a lowered LS1

I'm new to this type of vehicle (I'm used to being around lifted trucks) and I'm still learning and I have a question; I'm thinking of getting a lowering kit (1") ... I'm guessing I won't have too much trouble with this set-up on the street but I am curious as to how much trouble it will be to jack it up. There isn't much room to put a jack under it as it is. What is the best type jack to use? (consider a roadside flat too)

Thanks for the help!

1" shouldnt be bad at all...the jack that you should have in your trunk will fit great....mines is dropped almost 2" and the jack will fit where it's supposed to.

I use a low profile aluminum jack in the garage. My car is lowered with the prokit. For a roadside flat i'm sure the stock jack will work or buy a can of fix a flat just in case.

For the front, I use Rhino Ramps. For the rear, I park the car on a couple old pieces of 3/8" MDF to get me clearance for the jack.

I use the stock jack to get it high enuf to get a regular jack under the subframe connectors, lowered with pro-kit. With subframes it lifts the whole side at once.

Just drive it up on some 2x6's and should be good to go.

My car has the SLP level 1 susp on it, which I thin is lowered about an inch or so. I have a low pro aluminum jack that I use and it fits in all the lift points.

I have to use the stock jack to get the car up a little bit, then I use a 2.5 ton hydraulic jack...makes it WAY easier.

Outstanding! ... I'm feeling a lot better about putting these springs on. A friend of mine was telling me about a set of staggered 2x12's .. so, they're 2" for the fiirst 3ft or so and end up at 6" total height.

Yikes! Not real anxious to see that stock jack in action in the dirt/grass ... kinda' like the 'fix-a-flat" idea ... hopefully I'd be able to make it to a parking lot.

Thanks for all the inputs ... I'm gonna' take some measurements and see what type of set-up I need to put together.

Cheers!
