looks very good. i need to wet sand my entire car but dont have the ***** to do it yet.

I wetsanded and..PICS...... well, not my car yet, but I was practicing on a panel that I was about to paint flat black..here are two pics of 2000 grit wetsand and 3m swirls remover which says it will take out 2000 grit sanding marks and zaino swirl remover and a coat of wax..I used my porter cable with the orange pads too

took me to two minutes..I used the orbital buffer and 3m swirl remover from advanced auto..its by the sandpaper...and some zaino swirl remover on top of that...didnt take me long at all

I hear you dude..I agree with you..I still dont have to ***** yet, even after doing this myself..Get some part with black paint on it and practice..Its actually fun..LOL
Awesome.. good to know. I just finished detailing the hell out of my SS and still have a few isolated trouble spots that I miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight try this on.
I have the same panel, off a parts car, Id try practicing on it but its pewter.. not the greatest example to play with.

it doesnt matter what color it is..Just after your done you can check it by looking at it in the glare of the sun..Hell, you could even do white!!.. I noticed that there was no orange peel at all after this.. Also, Dont press to hard because you dont have much clear on your car if its a factory paint job!!

looks good .. another thing to try on the practice panel ..
create a couple of "rock chips", then fill them in with touch up paint, and polish it out .. you won't be able to make it look that good without using a rotary (it is possible, but a ton of work, usually), but it is a good way to practice, prior to filling the chips on your car ..

Actually anyone who knows about paint knows white would be the easiest to do and hide any imperfections. Black is the hardest by FAR. If you can wetsand and buff out black to a mirror then you can do any color.
