Car is looking great! Def. need some quad tips, and where is your headliner? Tell your buddy with the red SS I like the tire/rim combo, but I'm kinda biased haha!

Thanks, bro! You hear about Woodward? Cops aren't allowing anyone to loiter in Birmingham now due to all the crap going on with the white trash from Gratiot going out onto Woodward causing problems. I might be going out there tonight tho.

Side update to the thread, I finally have a new headliner replacement. I still have to go and resin the whole thing and all that, but hey atleast there's something up there again right now haha.

It looks great man, I was beginning to wonder what happened to you. details on what you did to the dash ???

Is that all spray paint or did you finally get into HVLP? It looks very good, I am impressed.

No motors cause it's a pitiful 3.4L and nothing worthy to show off. I can't help I got stuck with the 3.4L when I got it at age 15, an LT1 swap is in the plans though, at the very least, if not a 383 stroker. I go to a lot of car shows, so appearance was my goal first. Plus it's just economical to have the v6 "show car" cruiser rather than a monster fast 5mpg show car that I can't even take anywhere cause of the price of gas haha.

It's all spray paint, a lot of prep work and sanding, a LOT of sanding. I actually went through 28 cans total (primer, color, top coat clear coat), mostly high-build primer. All by Duplicolor. I could've used less if I would've sanded it down, but I felt it'd be better to let the primer build up in the texture and then sand it smooth. Just took more paint and time.

I really thought you were a squirrel the first time I saw your dash. I'm glad my first impression was wrong. It's obvious you have spent many, many hours on your car. The dash is coming together very nicely. Sharp looking ride........

Looks good gotta be careful though using that much paint, the more you build with material the more apt it is to cracking esp primer....Which is why I sanded my plastic 80, 180, 220, and 320, then used DuraTec's high build then sanded up to 400 then laid basecoat/clearcoat PPG paints....definately nice (the red portion) for a spray bomb though...

I know about the gauges, lol. They were one of my first mods. I do like them still, and those gauges get TONS of compliments in person, but they don't flow with the interior anymore, so I know they have to go. They're staying in until I find the right set to replace them tho.

lol the wire is to the radar detector right next to the mirror. I bought a new headliner the other day for $20, gonna resin it up and customize it to hold the faceplate for my headunit but do it right this time, last time I screwed it up big time. So, atleast at the moment, there IS a headliner in my car and the wire's tucked behind it.

I always liked your car meissenation and it looks better than ever now. I hope you stick with black carpets. I hate red carpet - jmo.
Question: doesn't that shiny black top dash cause reflections in the windshield when the sun hits it at the right angle? Cars I've had in the past had that problem with fresh armor all'ing but they weren't even as shiny as what you got goin...and the glare was downright dangerous....maybe the rake of the f-body windshield is less prone to this problem?

Well for one, the carpet actually is red, just a dark maroon-ish red that's more subtle and doesn't stand out compared to the rest of the interior. So far I haven't had any glare problems at all, the dashpad is flat black so that helps A LOT, but I've also noticed that the flatblack seems to get too hot and will blister. I've redone it already, thankfully this dashpad is broken to crap and epoxied together and I plan to buy a new dashpad at some point. But yeh, as of right now I haven't had any glare problems.
