Ive had both cars together for like 1.5 months so far. ~300/ month. The t/a has full coverage, the Z has POPD. Im deciding whether or not to sell or store the Z atm. I go to school and work full time after. I do all my own work and maintanance so that cuts a lot of corners. When I need parts, I usually shop around to get the best deals or used and it helps.

Almost 33 but I've had the same tastefull formula since my first car Black on Gray with chrome or polished wheels allways. I usually get many compliments on my cars. I used to own a bodyshop supply house and I have a pretty decent idea of what to do. I've seen in the past your customizing courage is greater in your youth and you get conservative with age.

21 here, and I can say that if I had my car when I was 16-17 not only would I probably be dead, but I would have had one ugly F-body. It would have almost done it justice to wreck it. I used to think Talons were badass. TALONS.

This is still not a good representation, as not all of the 25+ crowd are into the internet, let alone the concept of forums.

I would say there are a hell of a lot more 25+ owners, then there are <25 owners of f-bodies. Insurance being the biggest factor.

When I was shopping around for insurance I was specifically told that the car I drive is not even close to being associated with the under 30 crowd. Camaro and 98+ are the domain of 35 or older according to my insurance broker.

I'm 25 and my insurance for my 98 is LESS than the cost of insurance for my 88 car when I was 24. Last year, liability alone on the 88 cost me $1700. The 98 z28 has full coverage, perks like loss of use and "first at fault accident forgiveness". I pay $1300.

$300 a month??????!!!!! That is how much I pay and I'm not even insured under my car, I'm under my dads 2wd Tundra. I work full time too and have my detailing biz, but still cant afford my car and another and insurance. I ended up selling my car to my dad and now I'm looking for a commuter. Still cant believe some of these kids with 3 cars, well they must be 6 year loans or something, full time kid in school can only make 20K tops right? I work full time and get around $15k with my detailing, but I also got to pay for everything else, not just car payements and insurance, that must be the difference, that and parents that would kill me if I had 3 cars. Sorry to take this off topic...

This is true, but I think the point of this thread was to see about this particular sites demographic. Funny what you say about the forums, my dad was asking me about them the other day because he wanted to post a question about his car, now he is more interested forums (which is funny because he used to think were stupid) and he is buying parts for his car which never happend before. I think forums really get people to mod their cars a lot more than they would have without them.

20 here, I like everything to be clean and simple, nothing out of the ordinary, while some people like that to stand out, i think you can make your car unique without doing too much.

That has mainly to do with the fact that when you turn 25 your insurance drops 50-60%. Just happened to me too recently

40 here. My first car was a 78 6.6 litre Trans Am (Red). We scored some RA 3 heads for it,edelbrock intake and holley 650 doublepumper with a crane cam and it was good to go.Yes i had the blonde hair and mullet and rocked out to billy idol and that car pulled alot of *** in high school.I have never been without a fast car in my life.I feel about 25 though am 40 so i have the sensibilities of an older person along with the openess to new styles if it "fits" on the car in other words. I am not locked into any particular style.just lemme see it and i will tell ya whether i like it or not and to each his own. (though i will still tell ya if i think its )

26, definatley age and taste go together. I say what I think, I don't want to step on any ones toes, but sometimes the Truth needs to be told. Anyway I like the clean look more now, plus I after spending, make that wasteing several thousand dollars on stereos in my younger years I hate thoughs now as well. I always say go fast first, who cares if you have 3000 rims if you get passed like your standing still no one will see them anyways.

It was one hell of a battle to get that insurance down like that. They didn't want to acknowledge I was 25 until my renewal in October!

So from Feb to Oct, they were insisting I pay $2400!

Needless to say I had to go find a new insurance company. What sucks about here is that no matter who I went to, I was running circles BACK to the same insurance group that I was already with. Truth be told, a lot of those "smaller" companies are actually just branches of the main company I was already signed up with.

Took me 3 weeks to find A REAL competitor to that insurance group. Got my rate, full coverage and couldn't be happier. I hate insurance.

I'm 17 and work hard for my car. I dont think I have bad taste, and everything I do to my car is in good taste and after many hours of researching and looking at other cars to get some ideas. Oh, and as for the skinny comments, 6'3" here and 160lbs.

I'm eighteen, and don't think my opinion on apperance mods will ever change. I like the plain jane look. I think it's hereditary; it's like that throughout my family, my dad has a 66 stock appearing Nova, and my grandpa has a stock appearing vette. I'm not sure if that's just how I was raised or what...

This is very true, I think that is the main infulence, that and friends, but family influences your friends too, so I guess family when it all comes down to it.
