red RAM AIR damn?
the surface is not smooth i hav the paint ....what i want to do is painted it red then put on the letters the paint it black, then take off the leters so u can see red RAM AIR!! get me?? i suck at writing

so you want to paint the side red, put the decal on and then paint the side black, then take the decals off and you will have red lettering....
you realize you will have to repaint the ENTIRE hood to do that don't you...you cant just paint part of it and expect it to look good etc... so you are talking about repainting the entire hood and re-clearing it just for some letters on the side of the scoops...
Just get the decals for 8 bucks from fourthcircledesigns.com dont paint it....

so.. uh... can you repeat the question???? I think what he's going for is the words "Ram Air" in red on the air dam under the bumper, and get there by painting the thing red, masking off the words, and painting the whole thing black again. Sounds to me like a lot of work, and that it would not be as durable as a red decal, which I think they already make????

Ok, this makes more sense...for some reason I thought he meant the hood...but if it is the air-dam on the front of the car then painting it wouldnt be so hard....if you decide to paint it I think the best thing to do would be get a set of ram air decals and blow them up on a copy machine until they are as big as you want...then cut it out on the paper and well you can figure the rest out....
