yes, you could cut down the shift lever and re-install your stock **** as long as you first: pay great attention to how the (2) grooves are cut into the lever that accept the stock **** u shaped retaining clip before you wack any off the lever - as you will have to cut them in exactly as before (same exact manner and distance down from top of new shift lever length) to be able to retain the stock ****, and secondly: make sure you cut the same amount off the plastic plunger as you do the lever as in the instructions - and don't cut too much off!
meissenation-
Good to hear that the cut-off disk worked for ya! Should be a lot of choices out there for shorter *****.
Honda Hunter-
Thanks again

Well, the boot is Black and matches my Ebony interior very nicely. Having never seen a graphite interior - I couldn't say for sure...
Try holding something black up in the same area - should give you an idea.

Not to change the subject but where did you get those floor mats done 1QUIKWS6?
What do you do for a lockout button?

Thanks for sending the info.!!, I will probably be ordering from them. Your car is one of my favorites on here, truly amazing job with it!! Do you ever do any car shows in the Philly/South Jersey area? I would love to see your car in person!

Thanx for the compliment! I guess I must have done a half decent job - car brings me a lot of trophies
Haven't been toward the east yet - go to Ohio and down south when out of PA. My buddy moved to Stroudsburg so I see a trip in the T/A over thataway soon.

I have been hot on the trail of a Harley V-Rod, so I haven't been in LSX mode lately. I'll try to sneak over from work to Moon Park on Sunday...if I can. I have to work, so I can't bring the SS. I took her over to the last Starlite Cruise last week...Have you ever been there? Awesome turnout...somewhere between 700-1000 cars. Anywho, if you see a black 'n white K-9 Explorer, say hi...

Mmmmmmmmmmm V-Rod - nice bike!
Now I understand it's supposed to rain Sunday - so don't know if I'll be there or not - beautiful weather for weeks while at work - weekend comes up with something to do - and it rains - usual PA weather
Heard a lot of things about Starlight cruise - just never made it up there - from what I'm told you need to get there REAL early

Really not hard - you just have to be VERY careful when cutting your shifter (if you're also doing the short shifter mod at the same time as I did) not to cut off TOO short, cut into te inner plastic plunger.
And the GrandAm shift boot fits perfectly and doesn't cost an arm and a leg!
