Default Decision with the SS

Ok, so my car is as pictured in my sig, but with 18" chrome Z06 wheels. I have a chance to get manta stripes on it this summer extremely cheap, would it look wierd with a car that is mostly silver and chrome to have a black stripe on the hood and wing?

My original plan was to get some black rims with polised lips to go with manta stripes, but I dont have the money now. And, i think im wanting to stick with the chrome wheels, they make the sliver car look brighter where i think black wheels would make it duller. But maybe if i do the whistler mod and some black out signals it would blend in better. But, i kinda think it would look wierd with chrome wheels then. I am just having a hard time picturing it complete.

My second question is, if you think it would look good with the manta stripe, should i do it in gloss black, flat black, or a dark charcoal metallic (gunmetal like)?

keep what you have and do the black or if you can a charcoal maybe, it will give you enough contrast but not detur from the current theme.
edit keep the headlights as is, it will tie in the chrome better. and for some reason i like the look of the amber on the silver.

What do you think of doing a maybe not charcoal but just something just a couple shades darker silver then the stock paint? Just enough difference to be noticed.. but not too dark.

Maybe on top of that add the matte black SS decal in front of the scoop.

My votes for charcoal or some other silver/grey variant.

I think the manta stripe would look really clean, BUT I like how the scoop blends with the hood. Like it fades to a bump on the hood.

Manta would be good for your car!!! If you can do for cheap then do it!!!
Or you can just leave it clean

I agree with where you were headed in your first post...

I say DEFINETLY do the Whistler headlights (low-gloss/satin black), turn signals (the completely clear lens over the flat black housing), and manta in either low-gloss/satin black or gloss black.

IF you decide to go with a Charcoal/Gunmetal Manta stripe I say do the Whistlers in a Charcoal/Gunmetal as well... and then get the turn signals..

I would do a gray color, such as Spiral Gray.

I would def do it, how cheap are you getting it, so I get what is a GOOD price to get mine done when I do it, I will eventually do the manta as well. I was torn between that or the 35 anniv stripe. Manta is so much cleaner IMO
