What...you haven't washed it yet? How the heck did you get it off that clean?

I just washed my car, clayed the hell out of it (especially along that area) and washed it again and the outlines are still there.

Is it just me or does the drivers door seem to be out of adjustment?

I have been thinking about doing this for awhile now. The only two concerns I have are:

1. Being a 99' and white car, would the paint be messed up/different color underneath the molding?

2. Being a daily driver, in parking lots, is it worth the appearance mod to chance a ding in my door shell?

Let me know what you all think.

Thanks
Andy

Try living in Richmond, VA.

I'm half tempted to replace my moldings with some steel versions.

I have door dings, from long before the molding was taken off...it has never helped, somehow the shape of the doors end up hitting it anyway.

I've been thinking of doing this for a few months now, and this morning while bored at work I was surfing thru here and must have seen 3 threads about !molding/badges. I have been worried about the exact thing as you (#1), my car being a white '98, but when I got off work I found myself bored. I said fec it...I'll give it a go. I couldn't be happier with the results...took some time and patience but it totaly smooths out the lines of the car. Give it a shot. Just take your time and have some fun with it. One thought of caution though...has your car had any body work done to it? That could be the only reason that I can think of as to why the paint wouldn't match...some body shops cut all kinds of corners to save a buck. Good luck with it man.

Another free mod chalked up to LS1tech!
