First off, MANY THANKS to EvilBadZ for his write up and beating me to doing it!
Thanks to him, I knew how to pull things apart before I broke something! ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
This idea popped in my head a couple of months ago just never took the time to actually do it. Here's my version of it. I wired 3 red 8000mcd LEDs in series with a 330ohm resistor as close/tight as possible. Used Liquid Electrical Tape to seal it all up and heat shrinked the wires to protect it from the elements.
Basically I followed his write-up to get the mirrors apart and to tag the correct wire under the steering column. 2 things I did differently was that I only ran one wire per side through the door jam and just tapped a ground wire from the power window/lock harness in the door. I also removed the mirror motor to allow more room to work inside the mirror housing. I next just glued the 3-LED cluster to the side of the housing and let dry. If you look inside the housing, you'll see a ridge about 2" from the outside and that's where I placed mine. Just make sure they're aimed and centered and just put it all back together. I also have a piece of electrical tape on it for a day or 2 to make sure the glue cures and they don't move. I'll pull it off this weekend. Ignore the single LED in one pic, that's my white alarm light (versus blue that it came with) for the Hayabusa.
I REALLY wish digital cameras could really show you how bright and awesome they look when you go to turn.
But with the pics and vid, you'll get the basic idea at least. Now I have another 6 more LEDs to add to my LED count on the car. ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)

Glad to see you got it setup so well
I didn't think about grounding to the window motors, that's a great idea. You might could ground to any part of the metal on the door frame too.
Can't wait to see the vid!

Thanks! I hate running wires through the door jam, so I tried to minimize it as much as possible.
I thought the same thing, just ground to door. But that's not the case, I tried several different parts with no luck so I just tapped into the motor ground. I thought it kinda odd that I couldn't find an easier ground.

Exactly. They're way brighter in person and alot more noticeable. I hate trying to take pics/vid of my LED stuff cause it never does them justice, but at least you get the idea. I tried to get a close-up of them for the video, but it's just a big blur.
Also with the mirror on and during the day time you can't see anything between the housing and the mirror. I wasn't sure if they could be seen till this morning, but all is good. They came out exactly how I imagined they would.![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

Is where I got my sequential signals. Since I never see them, I kinda forgot I had them on the car till I looked at the video. LOL Been on there for almost 2 years now with no problems.

Thanks! The sequentials kinda take away from the mirrors, but oh well. I just like the mirrors, it's a subtle mod. ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
Got some video up close to the mirror. At least from the preview on the camera, it looks alot more what they would look like from behind the car. I'll post a link up tonight sometime of the video
