Default Silicone coolant hose kit?

It's about time to replace my coolant hoses and I was wondering if anyone sold a complete coolant hose kit made of silicone, preferably in black for an LS1 F-Body?

In the VW industry, Samco sells complete silicone kits and I'm looking for something along those linesfor my SS.

Samco does make a kit for our cars. Fbodys and Y bodys I belive. The list it under Chevrolet Camaro 98/99. Go to their website and search for US distributors.

The thing is, their kit is only for models w/o the power steering cooler. IE. the metal tube behind the radiator. (upper rad. line)

I have the kit, it's a 4 piece setup, with a 1 piece upper rad hose. So I either have to cut it, or get rid of the cooler.

You're good to go if you have an older SS.

LawmanSS is correct - The kit for the LS1 F-Body is made by Samco and it is a (4) pc. kit: (1) Upper Rad Hose, (1) Lower Rad Hose, (1) Rad Overflow Hose, & (1) TB Coolant Line Hose. They are custom molded and fit well.

The Upper Rad Hose does come in one piece - you just need to cut it accordingly if you have a power steering cooler.

As Samco is in England, I had to find the U.S. distributor - he is in Cali - but will have to get back with the details as they are on my home puter. These sets are custom made upon order by Samco - no stock on hand. It used to take them at least 6 months as I heard to get a set out - they made some improvements in their company and now it still took approx. 4 months to get the set

While you're waiting for the hose, it's a good idea to pick up some SS T-Bolt clamps. They are made for silicone hose and will not cut into the hose as regular worm style clamps will.

OK, here is info on the Samco Kit:

U.S. Distributor - Forge Motorsports
Mike Lombardi (mike@forgemotorsports.com)
P/N TCS158/C
Cost - $146.92 + shipping for (4) pc. set
Advertised ETA - 4-6 weeks
Colors Avail - Blue/Black/Red (other colors available w/payment in full @ time of order.)

I checked my invoice - it wasn't 4 months wait - about 3 months (but still more than the advertised ETA.

I have quite a few pics of my engine bay - but none that actually show the hoses as they are fairly buried and I was trying to get overall pics.

I know you can get the SS Convoluted hose kits that include the hose and ends at PepBoys. Don't know if that's where he got his...
