the door pieces come off with one screw and then you just pop the plastic slider for the lock out. The vents come out if you pry the sides out very gently.

Here is mine... its still a work in progress

I'm with you. The stock interior is too plain. I painted some peices in mine but not a lot, just the outline of the vents, radio surround, and door handle cups (I dunno about those, one day I think they are too much the next I think it looks great).

ehhh... i thought about it myself, and i've done numerous photoshop editting. i just can't find a good combination of colors. the interior lines for a firebird are very simple, to the point that if anything's altered, it would look out-of-place. there is not much manipulation that can be done to make a color scheme look good. a camaro's dash can be done nicely, but a firebird's is much more difficult, along with the rest of the interior. i do not recommend doing anything until you get a VERY stable and solid game-plan.

Subtle changes will do. Red accents give too much contrast but if it floats your boat... I came to the conclusion that aluminum accents really made a world of difference, IMO...

I really dont like painted interiors, especially when it doesnt even contrast or compliment the interior color. Nothing goes with gray, and when I see a orange/red/yellow accent with a gray interior it makes me cringe.

Yeah, don't just take out every piece of removable trim and paint it. Also, if you're painting, make sure you do some prep work so it looks smooth.

They are just stucked up up there.(between carpet and dash) I got some 12" red neon tubes at Autozone and wired them with switch to turn them on and off as desired. Whole install was around 20 to 30 mins, really easy. You could use smaller ones so installation goes easily, something like 8" would do just fine.

Heres mine. I still don't know about the door pieces. I like them one day, question them the next.
