Alright guys I'm going to order and Sunoco hood without the body line monday. I was thinking about putting the stripe down the side of the cowl like on this car

http://www.gmmginc.net

with 346c.i. cutout of course. Do you think it would look o.k. considering I already have G.S. stripes or do you think it will be to much and is not going to flow right?

Heres a pic of my car how it sits now.

Do one stripe or the other. Both of them would look too busy in my opinion.

Yep

If I keep just the G.S stripes I will probably had 346c.i. put on the side of the cowl in silver kinda small like the HP decals from afterthoughtsauto.com

ok i wasn't sure what they were. the GS stripes won't match the stripe on the cowl. i never understood the GS stripes at all really. they don't match anything lol.

do it with the 346ci cutout. it sounds fantastic and it isnt really too overbearing cause its very small incomparison to the hood. fantastic idea and i like your style

idk, i think i would just stick with the GS stripes and leave the hood alone

on a side note where did you get the GS stripes cause im thinking about getting some, but not to keen on the idea of a viynel sticker

I wasn't real keen on vinyel either, but nobody even notice's it. Plus when I tell people there only $35 shipped to my doorstep they always tell me it was the best $35 i've spent on the car. They definetly will give your car a different look

I'd do old-school SS stripes w/ that hood myself w/ the 346 C.I. cutout of 'em

Think of how the 69 Camaro and others w/ cowls had the stripes start off the center-line, and flowed over the cowl onto the hood itself. I havent seen anyone do this yet, and IMO it'll be retro and stylish all at the same time.

And its somewhat off-topic, but if someone @ Afterthoughts reads this - the "Father" of the Corvette was Zora Duntov, not Dora. With what he did w/ the Corvette...he needs his name spelled correctly IMO.
