Does dishwashing soap work well on the caked on brake dust? I don't have alot of free time to wash my car every week. So, it may go a month before I can get to the wheels. The dust cakes on as everybody knows.

Eagle one all wheel cleaner is the best stuff I've used. It used to be called Eagle A to Z wheel cleaner. Its in a silver bottle. I have yet to see it do any damage to the wheels on my cars or my customer's cars that I detail.

Where can i get some blue coral tire and wheel cleaner, I live in Haledon New Jersey.

Nope clearly on the bottle most of those products say to test on a not noticeable area just for situations for this.

90% of the OTC detailing products are substandard IMHO.

That being said, it's unfortunate to hear what happened to the OP. buy some sonax and call it a day.

I also see that I posted in a thread dug back up for 2006. Oops
