When I got the car it had the silver 10 spokes which I did not like. So I wanted a change in rim right away and opted for the Z06's. I bought them without really looking into any other rim options. They do look good and I like the way they look on the car. Now I am seeing other camaro's with them locally and wanted something a little different. So I decided to go with some black ZR1's for the time being. I may go to 18's again down the road. Plus I wanted to keep the car more stock looking just in case I decide to sell it in the near future. Believe it or not the 18's ride quality is comparable to 17's. It is a little rougher but not to much. There are a couple more appearance mods that I want to do and that will be it. I will not be touching the motor since there is only 11K miles on it. After that I will be done spending money on the SS. At least I hope so.

I know the Hotchkis are a bit more expensive and they both lower right around 1'', but which would be better for a daily driver in terms of being forgiving?

If you are thinking quality vs. price Hotchkis is the absolute best. I have used a lot LOT of their product and it is the best in every sense.
That and the ride quality and handling is probably the best for the price.
Hotchkis won't give you that slammed look though, they are more for ride and handling.

I noticed on some of the hotchkis pics, before I got mine, that the rear was a lil lower. Mine looks that way sometimes.... Just do some hard braking and turns and theyll level out.

When I put new slp bilsteins on my Camaro the sucker looked like it went into heat. It seriously raised the car an inch over stock in the back; my wife lost the front shocks so I only did the rear shocks and none of the springs at first.
When the springs were put on with new shocks in the front it sat about an inch lower than stock. So I assume it will continue to lower at least another half-inch. I would go out and measure again except that I sold the car.
So if the guy takes a picture 30 minutes after the swap is done and another takes the picture 6-months to a year after the swap is done it could make a big difference.
