Default How much am I looking to spend?

I'm ready to get my car back on the road and I would like to know how much do you think it will cost fix it?

I already have all the parts in the same red color (Ram Air hood, front bumper cover and reinforcement, RH fender, high rise hatch, rear bumper cover, RH taillight), so it's going to be just body and frame work.

On this one you can see lid and the lower air box are off so the frame is bent about 1 inch to the side.

I have other high rise hatch but the window is in bad condition, do you think the window is interchangeable?

How much do you think I'm going to spend on it?

Well, your hatch should be able to be fixed... although I don't see why the window couldn't be swapped. I don't know to be honest...

To fix the rest you are looking at the cost of a quarter panel, front clip and getting it all welded in.

My guess is $4000-$6000 to fix and install everything.

The rear quarter panel could be bent back out and bondo'd up and painted. I know it's not the best solution, but it will be A LOT cheaper than the alternative. You'll need a new front bumper bracket, I honestly don't know if that's a piece in itself or part of the chassis. It could be cheap, could be expensive, I'm not really sure. As far as I can tell, since you have everything else, that's probably about it.

$4000-$5000 would be my best guess. Maybe more, I'm not an adjuster so I really have don't know.

For a little comparison, here's my old car (hydroplaned and hit a wall... going under the speed limit), and although it doesn't look too bad, it had $5,600 in damage that we could see without a lift or chassis straightner:

+1.

With any type of frame damage it is a crap shoot whether the car will ever track right again. Get the right frame shop and it may but frame repair is an art and your taking a chance unless you really know a good one. I'd vote with parting it out and getting a new one.

If you sell it all a lot. There is good money in fbody parts. My brother does it as a second job, just buys salvaged fbodys and parts them out. Just the complete engine could get ya 4k. I suggest to sell the engine as a whole. Once you start pulling parts off the engine it get's harder to sell the remaining parts. For example, I would not sell the throttle body or PCM seperatly they should go with the entire engine. I'd also take some video (with sound of course) of the engine running that will help. If the interior is nice they go for a good bit. if it has t-tops those are like 150 a piece minimum. Really depends how much time and effort you want to put into it. Take the entire thing apart and you could make enough to buy yourself a really nice fbody, maybe more. Post that you want to part your car out and watch how many folks ask for parts. Put the remainder on ebay then just have the shell chushed.

Just keep in mind that if you sell a part you need to be honest about how long it will take you to get the part off and mailed. People here are great but will not put up with waiting weeks for a part that you say are ready to ship. You might want to take a few weeks taking parts off and then only sell them until you get more parts off. Remember it only takes one pissed off customer to kill your sales. No one buying your parts gives a **** if your having family trouble, dog dies, lose your job, get divorced etc after they buy a part from you. Sounds cold but it is the truth. be honest and fair with people requesting parts and you'll do OK. You'll also want to take Paypal as it makes everyone's life easier. I will buy from a seller who takes Paypal over one who doesn't even if the price is a little higher because checks/MO's are a PITA to deal with.
