I always wondered how people do that, not asking for a full guide or anything, but can you give me a rundown on the outline of how you go about painting realistic flames. I can't think of a way possible. Awesome job!

They charge OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH TO DO THAT! Well at least around here but im in a small town and hes the only guy who can do it. So its monopoly kinda thing but he wanted two hundred bucks just to make my bros fiberglass dual 12' box look "pimp" as he said LOL. So id charge 100 for kool, 200 for pimp, and 500 for bitchin...

WOW thanks again for all the compliments....they are greatly appreciated...
~WOW thats the ultimate compliment... id say im nowhere near strykers skill level yet...his stuff is sick...thanks for saying that....and yes that WOULD look sick...iv been wanting to experiment with black flames...white looks awesome but tends to look more like smoke...but cool smoke lol..
trade secret my friend lol just kidding...its actually quite easy, you would prob laugh at how simple it realy is...you use different shapes with the HELP of stencils to make the hard edges while the airbrush naturally creates the soft edges...its mostly color placement, and knowing the anotomy and shape of fire...if you have an artistic eye, its not hard to learn
thanks man...iv never tried ghost flames before...id like to learn in time tho...you would honestly be better off getting a professional to do it...it might be a little more expensive...but worth it...look up Chaotic Customs...there painter Max is awesome...id give you the number but i lost it. Id love to try but i dont sand and clear...i just paint...and i dont want to ruin anyones car lol
thanks for the info...yeah i know its not cheap...and i dont want to rip anyone off ya know....thanks again for the info
if anyone has any more questions id be more then willing to answer

Yea, you could easily just wet sand down the clear on the area to be painted, then if you don't wanna mess with having the equipment to clear, you could have the people take care of getting it cleared themselves.

Did you have to scuff up the clear to get that paint to stick? If he did want it cleared, then how would you spray the clear on the hood. I thought that you can't spray clear on paint that has already cured. I am a novice painter and would like to know more about painting techniques.

~the airbrush paint stuck quite well...and i actualy beleive he said its still on there lol his car had a pretty crapy paint job on it already (chips, tiny dents, ect) so it kinda had something to grab onto
