all I need to do, if find a way to hide the light from coming in between the plate and the bumper. read somewhere else that someone just used weather stripping in there.
I bought 2-12" long LED strips from wal-mart. I will place the LEDS on the inside of the plate along the inside lip. that way, the light appears as "indirect". you need to paint your plate on the INSIDE, then paint it again with BLACK because these LEDS will shine right thru the plate. i used thin painters tape to tape off on the inside the bird. once paint was dry, i peeled off the tape. there are some blotches, so I may try it again.
if you are patient, I'll snap more photos tonight. My ultimate goal is to hard wire them into the fog lights so the plate lights up when the fogs lights are on
I also have a remote control relay that i bought. I may just hard wire to my car battery and then use the remote to turn them on or off when I want. got the relay from amazon for like $12
