Default Stainless inserts on a pewter F-body

I know some guys on here were wondering if they blended in too much or how they would look. I ordered stainless inserts from DragonZ28 on here and they look great. Amazing quality and a perfect mirror shine. It seriously looks like someone chopped up a mirror and put it onto my tailpanel. I think they look perfect. The pictures don't do them any justice because they make it look like the inserts blend in too much with the pewter color, when in reality, they don't. They still stand out enough that a following car would be able to read them without a problem. If I get bored with them, I'll pull them back out and do the tail panel in black.

This picture makes them blend in quite a bit, but as I said, it's just the camera. I played with the exposure and focus and still couldn't get it right. But they look great from behind.

I just chose not to do it for now because everyone has started to. I've never seen much of the stainless on pewter, so I went for it to be different. If I decide I don't like it this way, I'll go berger.

That, along with tint and grille, is next for appearance.

Good job man. Looks pimp. I have had mine done for 2 years now and pewter with stainless steel insterts look really awesome in person. I agree with you on not doing the berger panel since everyone is doing it now, kinda like the SS hood. I also have stainless steel Z28 emblems on mine if you ever want to see how they look with it.

Scotty, those are some great pictures, and your car looks amazing from the back with those! I say leave it exactly how it is now.

Do you care if I use some of those pics for advertising purposes?

Thanks for your order! As an update guys, we will begin on our website next week, and when it is up and running, we will become a board sponsor. Tomorrow we are going to pick up a new project car for the business. It is a 2001 Sunset Orange Metallic WS6, and we will be working extensively with it as a show car. The wheels are in motion, and I truly appreciate all of the feedback!

Thanks to you for such a great price and such a great product!

As far as using the pictures, that's absolutely fine with me. If you'd like, I can play with them to perhaps get them to look a bit better. Or I can even take some better ones. Just let me know through PM or email at SROhlms@yahoo.com and I'll get some for you.

And BitViper, your car looks great there! Like I said, if I get tired of this look, I'll add in the Berger like you've done so nicely.

I still like it a tad better with the Berger though, but you are right, everyone seems to be doing the Berger now

I think the berger is sweet too, but what I hate about it is that the color contrast draws a lot of attention to the gap between the tail panel and the bumper and that drives me NUTS. My gap is worse than other peoples gaps too.
