Default SS Spoiler

Does 400 dollars sound like a good price on a ls1 ss spoiler?

A real SS spolier was over 1000 the last time it was offered at the GM dealership. I don't think they even offer them anymore.

I got one new in box for 400.00 just be cause I got lucky.

400 sounds like a good price to me.

I might be going with spoilerdepot.com as well. Theirs look pretty good, especially for the price.

I have heard that aftermarket doesn't fit. Does the Spoilerdepot unit have a LED bar light like the orginal? Just interested.

They have the light. I've read a few reviews of the spoilerdepot piece that say that the fit was excellent, a couple had to sand down, or raise it up a little bit, but nothing major.

Oh I hope mine fits

It is indeed a smaller light. Search for "spoiler depot" or search for posts by me and you'll see a comparison I did between the two.

It's a small difference that would normally bother me, but for the price and the supposed good fit and quality, I can live with it. Plus the replacement LED lights through spoilerdepot.com are only $15, whereas the OEM GM ones are much more.

Spoilerdepot is the only way to go. I drive a Z28 not a SS. I like the fact that the 3rd brake light is not OEM. I am NOT building a SS. If I wanted a SS I would have bought one.

you should just get rid if the light then. and then put a z28 badge in the light's old place. then get a huge z28 sticker for the back glass.

Thank you for the pic, ChevyZ28Thunder! I see the difference now! I have a real SS spoiler and I paid a little much for it. If I would have known about them I probably would have gone with them!

Is there anyway you can post a real up close from the back of the spoiler near where it touches the quarter panel but near the top?

The SS spoiler has a little dimple in it near the quarter panels near the top of the back and it goes away towards the center. I hate that. Weird part of the design.

How is the fit-n-finish of the spoiler ? Did you get it already painted ?
