All those ZL1's together are from the Berger Chevy ZL1 presentation ceremony. I was there and have several pics, but unfortunately they're all on film and not digital. The Blue with white stripe is Gib Louden's Wonderful 1 car done to look like the 69 Berger sponsored ZL1. The yellow is Charlie Lillard's #3 ZL1 which I beat drag racing heads up when he had the 400HP LS6 in it. He sent it back for the 427 upgrade. The Orange with orange/houndstooth interior is Matt Bergers 2nd ZL1. The red one first posted here is his also, PR-2. The light green one is Matt Murphy's car. It had the paint and decals done but hadn't had the engine/suspension upgrades yet. Scott Settlemire was there doing presentations to each owner with a special package of documentation on each car. It was a really cool and memorable event.

Actually it WAS with my 345HP car. That's the sad part. I beat him by almost 2 car lengths. His numbers were .946 rt - 2.323 60' 13.812 @ 106.90 to my .546 rt - 2.128 60' and 13.296 @ 106.38mph! I figured with 400HP he outta blow by me on the top end but he didn't. My car dynoed at 327.8 RWHP. I never saw the dyno sheet for the #3 car. All I know is I saw it a year later and it had the 600HP C5R 427 in it. It probably pissed him off that I beat him with my lowly plain SS. Both cars were on street tires too.

Probably the driver and 4.10's. I've beat every as delivered 380HP Berger I've lined up against. The only one that beat me was the guy who put N2O on it and even then he didn't beat me by much. The 435HP cars walk me no problem but there's not many of them out there and fewer will have the ***** to race them. I had several guys ask me at the Berger show the day after the drag day what was done to my car and how I was so consistent. I just tell them it's a stock SLP 345HP car and I guess I just know how to drive!

Actually, that's the first ZL1 built. The picture was taken at the Marriott Parking lot at, I wanna say -- G6 or 7 -- (I know 'cause I parked it there...)
The car started out as John Heinricy's captive test fleet SS -- we then wrote it off -- sent it to GMMG with some parts -- and had them build a "ZL1" --
(don't ask me any more about that!!!)
The car still exists-- it was painted Garnet Red (1969 Camaro Color) just before that picture was taken. After about 18 months of media test drives - and taking it to many Camaro/Firebird shows, we had it repainted LeMans Blue with a white stripe -- it resides in the GM Heritage Collection --
.........and it is ONE SWEET RIDE -- the perfect Camaro for a cross - country tour!
Donor engine was an LS6 out of a Z06 by the way. However, many performance improvements were done to it.

Anyone know where to get pics of it in Garnet Red or the LeMans Blue?
