I just installed my bitviper antenna afew days ago. I definately like the new look of the antenna on the car. I replaced my stock antenna with a 8" Z06 antenna and the reception was horrible, but looked good. Now with the bitviper antenna the reception is as good as the stock antenna was.

It will work on Trans Am's or Firebirds, just go get a standard antenna post out of a Camaro.

it's not that bad. The hardest part doing it to my vert was getting that dang spare tire outta the trunk.......
I like the fact that it now goes all the way down. Makes getting the car cover on easier.

Looks good. I just took the stock antenna off, cut it to about a foot and a half length, took the ball off of the top of the antenna and pressed it back on the shorter part and put it back on.

Only pic I have that shows it is an old pic with the first cut, it's shorter now.

Theres one thing different about my antenna base(the thing attached to the car)...underneath the screw where you attach a new antenna is a little metal plate thing. How do I take it off?

Since firebirds get power antennas.... why don't camaros convert to power? Or adapt a universal one, like the ones they sell at the auto parts stores. I did put a universal one in my trans am when the stock went out, its chrome and not black, but it matches the wheels . Works like a charm and it only costed me about $40.00
