Default Lt / Ls1???

What is required to put the front end of a 97 TA on the front os a 98 and up body? I have had both LT1 and LS1, and now I want the best of both worlds. the power of a turbo 408 LS1, with the look of the 97 TA. I am hoping that its a direct swap...

It should just be the hood, fenders and bumper cover, I hope...

I agree with you, LT1 front end looked best (on both cars) and the LS1 was the best engine...

It is a direct bolt-on... only issues may come in the hood hitting the air lid.

MAYBE the WS6 hood will fit fine... if not you just need to get a LT1 WS6 air box with LT1 WS6 Ram-Air hood... or fab up a LT1 style air intake.

You should be able to MAKE MONEY doing this... People pay $1500 - $2000 just for the PARTS to convert their LT1 front ends into LS1 front ends (just check out the website/salvage sites that sell the kits).

At the very LEAST you should be able to find an LT1 owner willing to pay to have the swap done in exchange for your parts.

you could make a easy 500-1000 bucks by doing this, Find someone to trade you front ends. If your car is white I'll trade you + 500 bucks.

If his car is not white just use the $500 to paint the parts (I am sure you could paint all the parts the appropriate colors for that much, re: your other post)

hood clearance shouldn't be an issue, putting a cowl hood on there.

I am pretty sure that its cheaper to start with an LS1 and convert the front, rather than start with and lt1 and convert the engine, don't you think?

Even more work on a V6...

How in the hell would converting the wiring, installing an engine, tranny, rear-end etc... be easier than bolting on two fenders, a hood, a front bumper (with support) and headlights?!?!?!

Have you been huffing paint with Bobby again... ???
